Key Responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and monitor security measures and technologies to protect computer systems and networks.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify weaknesses.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organisation.
- Respond to and investigate security breaches or cyber-attacks, implementing containment and recovery strategies.
- Provide IT security awareness training to employees.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all systems and applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience (4+ years) in IT security, cybersecurity, or a related technical role within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of network security, data privacy, and security best practices.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM solutions.
- Understanding of relevant security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex security issues.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are highly desirable.
