About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Underwriting Assistant to support their team in Norwich . This role provides essential administrative and analytical support to the underwriting department, helping to assess risks and prepare policy documentation. You will work closely with experienced underwriters, gaining valuable knowledge of the insurance market and risk assessment processes. The ideal candidate will be organised, possess strong communication skills, and be eager to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the underwriting team, including managing correspondence and files.
- Assist in gathering and analysing data for risk assessment, such as financial information and policy histories.
- Prepare and process policy documents, endorsements, and renewal documents accurately.
- Communicate with brokers and clients to obtain necessary information and provide updates.
- Input and maintain accurate data within the underwriting systems.
- Support underwriters in daily tasks and special projects as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role, ideally within financial services or insurance.
- Strong organisational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn about insurance underwriting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
