About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records for their operations in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular stocktakes, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of inventory data. This role is crucial for minimizing losses, optimizing stock levels, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to managing complex inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing data and identifying root causes.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and operations teams to manage replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
- Generate reports on inventory status, turnover rates, and valuation for management review.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory control , stock management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
