About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's inventory across its warehouse operations. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and utilizing inventory management systems to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize loss. Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain accurate inventory control procedures across all warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies.
- Manage and operate the inventory management system (IMS) to track stock movements and levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor stock levels, reporting on slow-moving or obsolete inventory and suggesting strategies for clearance.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure inventory data accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and strong data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and analysis.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve complex discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in our Edinburgh facility.
