About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join their fully remote operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across all channels. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing best practices for inventory management. Working remotely, you will collaborate with warehouse staff and management to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on detail and data accuracy in a distributed work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) .
- Plan and execute regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system data and physical stock counts promptly.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize inventory shrinkage, obsolescence, and damage.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure adequate stock levels to meet demand.
- Generate reports on inventory status, turnover rates, and other key performance indicators for management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, warehousing, and supply chain best practices.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
