Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at their facility in Belfast . This role is essential for ensuring that stock levels are precise, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, investigating variances, and implementing measures to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is meticulous, has a strong understanding of inventory management principles, and can work effectively within a warehouse environment to uphold the integrity of stock data.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Implement and adhere to inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Monitor stock levels and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper handling and storage of goods.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and techniques.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Ability to perform physical inventory counts and lift moderately heavy items as needed.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
