About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join their operations in Cardiff . This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory levels, ensuring that stock is managed efficiently and effectively to meet demand. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control systems, conducting regular cycle counts, and analyzing stock data to identify and resolve discrepancies. This position is key to optimizing warehouse operations and minimizing financial loss due to stock issues, working within a dedicated team focused on precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system data promptly.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and recommend disposition actions.
- Generate regular inventory reports detailing stock status, value, and movement for management review.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure smooth flow of goods and information in Cardiff .
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, cycle counting, and stocktaking methodologies.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with various internal departments regarding stock matters.
