Inventory Controller

About the Role

Our client is searching for a meticulous Inventory Controller to manage stock levels and accuracy for their operations, with the flexibility of remote work based out of Sunderland . This vital role focuses on ensuring that inventory data is precise, managing stock movements, and implementing procedures to minimize discrepancies and stock-outs. You will be responsible for analysing inventory data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to stock management strategies. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records across all storage locations using the company's inventory management system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stock takes to verify inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overstock situations.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast demand and optimize stock replenishment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Inventory Controller or in a similar inventory management role.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication skills for collaborating with various departments.
