About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Controller to join their operations team in Sunderland . This role is vital for maintaining accurate stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory, conducting audits, and implementing control measures to prevent loss and optimize stock rotation. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to inventory management, contributing to the overall success of the warehouse in Sunderland .
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stocktakes to verify inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and report findings to management.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure efficient stock replenishment and flow.
Requirements
- Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles relevant to Sunderland .
