IT Support Technician Apprentice

About the Role

An established IT services company located in the heart of Manchester is seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician Apprentice to join their growing infrastructure team. This apprenticeship is designed to provide comprehensive training in IT support, network administration, and troubleshooting. You will be the first point of contact for technical queries, resolving hardware, software, and network issues for employees and clients. This hands-on role offers an excellent opportunity to gain industry-recognized certifications and practical experience in a supportive, office-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and in person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
• Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory.
• Document support requests, solutions, and knowledge base articles accurately.
• Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades and office moves.

Requirements

• A strong interest in IT and technology, with a basic understanding of computer systems and networking.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow procedures meticulously.
• Commitment to completing the apprenticeship program and achieving set qualifications.
• Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
