Trainee IT Support Technician Apprentice

About the Role

Our client is looking for motivated individuals to join their IT department as Trainee IT Support Technician Apprentices in Belfast . This is a hands-on role perfect for anyone passionate about technology and eager to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues. You will provide essential support to our internal users, learning to diagnose hardware and software problems, manage user accounts, and maintain IT infrastructure. We aim to develop your skills through structured training, mentorship, and practical experience, enabling you to build a solid foundation in IT support and cyber security, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Assist with IT inventory management and equipment setup for new starters.

Requirements

• A strong interest in IT and technology, with a desire to learn about hardware, software, and networking.
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows/macOS) and common software applications.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work methodically.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient, customer-focused attitude.
