Lead Animator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and inspiring Lead Animator to spearhead their animation department in Wolverhampton . You will guide a team of animators, overseeing the quality, style, and technical execution of all animated content for various projects, including games, films, and marketing materials. This role requires a strong artistic eye, technical proficiency, and excellent leadership skills to foster a creative and productive environment. You will play a key role in defining the visual storytelling and character performance through animation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of animators, providing creative direction and technical support.
• Establish and maintain animation pipelines and workflows to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Review and approve animation assets, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Develop high-quality character animations, motion graphics, and visual effects.
• Collaborate with directors, game designers, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Ensure consistency in animation style and quality across all project deliverables in Wolverhampton .

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in animation , with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or Cinema 4D.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, character rigging, and motion capture technology.
• Excellent artistic skills, including anatomy, posing, timing, and expressive movement.
• Experience in managing animation projects from concept to completion.
