About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Architect to spearhead architectural design and project management in their Birmingham office. This senior position involves overseeing a team of architectural professionals, driving design excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects from conception to completion. You will be instrumental in shaping the firm's design direction and fostering a culture of creativity and technical rigor. This is a critical leadership role for an architect passionate about sustainable design and innovative urban development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for major architectural projects, from conceptualization through to detailed design and construction documentation.
- Manage and mentor a team of architects and technologists, fostering collaboration and skill development.
- Liaise with clients, planning authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure designs meet all relevant building regulations, codes, and sustainability standards.
- Present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with extensive experience, holding professional registration.
- Demonstrated track record in leading significant architectural projects from inception to completion.
- Expertise in architectural design software , including advanced proficiency in BIM tools like Revit.
- Strong understanding of project financial management and contractual obligations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills are essential.
