About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead BIM Architect to spearhead their digital transformation and design initiatives from a remote base in Manchester . This is a critical role responsible for setting BIM standards, driving innovation in digital design processes, and leading a distributed team of architects and technologists. You will play a key part in shaping the future of how our client designs and delivers projects, ensuring that cutting-edge technology and best practices are embedded throughout the project lifecycle. This remote-first position offers a unique opportunity to influence architectural delivery on a national scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company's BIM strategy and standards across all projects.
- Lead and mentor a remote team of architects and BIM specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Oversee the creation and management of BIM models for complex architectural projects, ensuring data integrity and coordination.
- Drive the adoption of new digital tools and workflows to enhance design efficiency and project outcomes.
- Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients to integrate BIM effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide expert technical guidance on BIM execution plans and project-specific BIM requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a BIM Architect or BIM Manager, with a proven track record of leading digital initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of Revit , Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software and platforms.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction processes.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing remote teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Professional architectural qualification (e.g., RIBA) and relevant BIM certifications are highly advantageous.
