Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Blockchain Engineer to spearhead their blockchain initiatives in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for leading a team of talented developers, defining the technical roadmap, and ensuring the successful execution of complex blockchain projects. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a deep understanding of the blockchain ecosystem. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, foster best practices, and build high-performance, secure blockchain applications that align with our client's strategic objectives, contributing to their position as a leader in the digital economy from their UK base.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of blockchain developers, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
Architect and oversee the development of scalable, secure, and efficient blockchain solutions and platforms.
Define technical standards, best practices, and development processes for the blockchain team.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand requirements and deliver impactful blockchain features.
Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring successful project completion on time and within budget.

Requirements

Extensive experience in blockchain development, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
Expertise in multiple blockchain protocols and smart contract languages (e.g., Solidity, Go, Rust).
Strong understanding of distributed systems, cryptography, and network security principles.
Demonstrated experience in team leadership and project management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences in Newcastle upon Tyne .
