About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead their advanced AI initiatives in Coventry . This pivotal role involves architecting and deploying scalable machine learning systems, leading a team of talented engineers, and collaborating closely with product stakeholders to bring innovative AI features to life. You will play a crucial part in defining the technical strategy for machine learning, ensuring the robustness and efficiency of our AI-driven products, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade machine learning models and pipelines.
- Mentor and guide a team of machine learning engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth.
- Define and implement MLOps best practices for model training, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to translate research into scalable production systems.
- Optimize ML system performance, scalability, and reliability for high-traffic applications.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Significant professional experience (5+ years) in machine learning engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and MLOps.
