Lead Squash Coach

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Lead Squash Coach to spearhead their squash program in Coventry . This position involves developing and delivering exceptional coaching services to members of all ages and skill levels, fostering a vibrant and successful squash community. You will be responsible for creating engaging training sessions, managing the club's competitive teams, and promoting the sport within the local area, contributing to the club's reputation as a premier destination for racket sports enthusiasts. The ideal candidate is passionate about player development and creating a positive, inclusive sporting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement structured squash coaching programs for juniors and adults, from beginner to elite levels.
• Conduct individual and group coaching sessions, focusing on technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning.
• Organize and manage internal club tournaments, leagues, and inter-club matches.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor assistant coaches, fostering a collaborative coaching team.
• Promote squash activities within the club and the wider community to increase participation and membership.
• Maintain accurate records of player progress and provide regular feedback to participants and their families.

Requirements

• Professional squash coaching certification (e.g., England Squash Level 2 or higher).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in coaching squash at various levels.
• Demonstrated success in developing junior and senior players.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing video analysis tools for player development.
• Current First Aid certification and a background check will be required.
