Lead UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client, an innovative tech startup in Bradford , is seeking a visionary Lead UX/UI Designer to shape the user experience of their cutting-edge digital products. You will be responsible for translating user needs and business requirements into intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing interfaces. This is a critical role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative design, and strong leadership skills to guide the design process from concept to execution. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure our user-centric design philosophy is embedded across all aspects of our digital offerings, fostering a culture of design excellence within the organisation remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for web and mobile applications, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and UI design.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency and scalability across all products.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze user feedback to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to define product strategy and user flows.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture.
• Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a significant portion in a lead or senior role.
• Proven track record of designing successful, user-centered digital products.
• Expert proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user research methodologies, information architecture, and interaction design principles.
• Experience with design systems and their implementation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
