Lead UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead UX/UI Designer to spearhead user experience and interface design for their cutting-edge digital products, operating in a fully remote capacity. You will define and drive the user-centered design strategy, ensuring our applications are intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling. This leadership role requires a passion for user advocacy, a mastery of design principles, and the ability to mentor and guide other designers. You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and research teams to deliver exceptional user journeys and innovative solutions that delight our customers, fostering a strong remote design community.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for key product initiatives, from user research and ideation to high-fidelity prototyping and final design specifications.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
• Collaborate with UX Researchers to gather insights and validate design solutions through user testing and feedback.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous improvement.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to translate business requirements and user needs into elegant, effective design solutions.
• Present and articulate design strategies, concepts, and rationale to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a UX/UI Design role, with a significant portion in a leadership or lead capacity, supported by a robust portfolio.
• Expertise in user research methodologies, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Proven ability to lead and mentor design teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and their application in complex digital products.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, adept at articulating design vision and rationale.
• Experience working effectively in a fully remote, agile development environment.
