About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Lead VFX Artist to spearhead their visual effects efforts for upcoming projects in Bradford . You will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and implementing breathtaking visual effects that elevate the gameplay experience, ensuring they are both artistically compelling and technically optimized. This leadership role involves guiding a team of VFX artists, defining the visual style for effects, and collaborating closely with art directors and engineers to achieve seamless integration of stunning particle systems, simulations, and magical elements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the VFX team, providing artistic direction and technical guidance for visual effects creation.
- Design and implement high-quality visual effects, including particle systems, environmental effects, and magical spells.
- Optimize VFX performance to ensure smooth gameplay across target platforms.
- Collaborate with art directors and game designers to define and achieve the desired visual aesthetic.
- Develop and maintain VFX pipelines, tools, and documentation.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a VFX Artist , with a significant portion in a lead or senior role within the games industry.
- Proficiency with particle editing tools within game engines (e.g., Niagara in Unreal Engine, Shuriken in Unity).
- Strong understanding of particle systems, fluid simulations, and real-time rendering techniques.
- Experience with visual scripting or shader authoring is highly desirable.
- Excellent artistic eye for detail, timing, and impact.
