About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive continuous improvement initiatives at their facility in Wolverhampton . This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing workflows across all production areas. You will champion lean principles, implement best practices, and foster a culture of ongoing improvement. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining essential on-site analysis and implementation with remote data analysis and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and 5S implementation.
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for waste reduction and efficiency gains.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement plans, working closely with production and management teams.
- Train and mentor employees on lean principles and problem-solving methodologies.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented lean tools and sustain improvement gains.
- Report on progress, results, and future opportunities for lean transformation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lean Specialist , Continuous Improvement Engineer, or similar role.
- Deep understanding and practical application of lean manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, VSM, Poka-Yoke).
- Experience in data analysis and performance metrics tracking.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and change management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
