About the Role
Our client, a leading chemical manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their operations in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for optimizing and maintaining the efficiency, safety, and quality of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for troubleshooting process issues, implementing improvements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Optimize existing chemical manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance energy efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and implement process improvements, including modifications to equipment and control strategies.
- Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality regulations (e.g., ISO standards).
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to support new product introductions and process upgrades.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a process engineering role within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical process principles, unit operations, and process control systems.
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) is desirable.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
