About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Livestock Technician to join their agricultural team based in Leeds . This essential role involves the daily care and management of farm animals, ensuring their health, welfare, and productivity. You will work closely with veterinary staff and farm management to implement feeding programs, monitor animal health, and maintain clean and safe housing conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong practical understanding of animal husbandry and a passion for contributing to high standards of livestock management within a busy farming operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily feeding, watering, and general care for various types of livestock.
- Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to management or veterinary personnel.
- Assist with animal health procedures, including vaccinations and treatments, under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal housing areas and facilities.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment relevant to livestock management.
- Keep accurate records of animal health, feeding, and breeding information.
Requirements
