Logistics Operative - Warehouse & Delivery

About the Role

Our client is looking for an industrious Logistics Operative to support their busy distribution centre in Birmingham . This role involves a blend of warehouse duties and local delivery coordination, playing a vital part in the efficient flow of goods from storage to the final destination. You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate inventory management, order fulfillment, and timely dispatch. The successful candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high operational standards within a critical supply chain function, contributing to the reliability and responsiveness of our client's distribution network in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory accurately, maintaining organized warehouse stock.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to shipment requirements.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, safely and efficiently.
• Assist with local deliveries as needed, ensuring safe transport and accurate documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse and delivery vehicle.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and order processing.
• A valid UK driving license and a good driving record for potential delivery duties.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
