Logistics Operative - Warehouse & Delivery

About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile and diligent Logistics Operative to manage both warehouse duties and local deliveries in the Brighton area. This hands-on role is critical for ensuring the efficient flow of goods from storage to customer. You will be responsible for safe handling, accurate dispatch, and timely delivery, embodying our client's commitment to operational excellence. The ideal candidate is physically fit, organized, and possesses a proactive attitude towards completing tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Load delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, optimizing space.
• Conduct local deliveries using a company vehicle, adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and potentially forklifts (if trained).
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment within the warehouse and vehicle.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is beneficial.
• Valid UK driving license, preferably with experience driving larger vehicles.
• Physical fitness to handle manual handling tasks, including lifting heavy items.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of inventory management principles.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in Brighton .
