Loss Adjuster - Property

About the Role

Our client is actively recruiting a skilled Loss Adjuster with a focus on Property claims for their fully remote team, remotely supporting operations in the Portsmouth area. This position is vital for assessing the extent of damage to properties following an insured event, determining the cause, and advising on settlement. You will work autonomously from your home office, conducting thorough investigations and providing expert reports. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced adjuster to deliver high-quality service in a flexible, remote capacity, ensuring fair outcomes for policyholders and protecting our client's interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate property damage claims resulting from events such as fire, flood, or subsidence.
• Conduct on-site (where required, but primarily remote assessment supported by client) and virtual inspections to assess damage extent and causes.
• Prepare detailed and accurate loss adjusting reports, including cost estimations.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders and their representatives.
• Ensure claims handling complies with policy conditions and regulatory standards.
• Manage claim files efficiently and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant experience in property loss adjusting, including complex commercial and domestic claims.
• Strong technical knowledge of building construction, repair methods, and associated costs.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with relevant surveying and claims management software.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel occasionally if required.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS or equivalent are highly regarded.
