Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to maintain their manufacturing facility in Edinburgh . This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all production machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing faults, and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing machines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults promptly.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and ensure timely resolution to minimize production disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs and parts used.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
