Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead their production facility in Belfast . This senior leadership role is responsible for the overall efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the manufacturing operations. You will drive strategic initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure that all operations align with the company's vision and objectives, while adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and production staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain, sales, and engineering, to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement programs to drive operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations management.
• Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, P&L, and complex projects.
