About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join their technology-driven team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining the integrated systems that underpin modern manufacturing operations, including MES, ERP, and automation controls. You will focus on enhancing system performance, data integrity, and connectivity to drive efficiency and innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other production software.
- Integrate disparate manufacturing systems, including ERP, SCADA, and automation platforms, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, providing remote support to plant operations.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to define system requirements and implement solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance manufacturing systems and data analytics capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing systems engineering, MES implementation, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and the role of technology within them.
- Proficiency with database management, system integration techniques, and relevant programming languages.
- Excellent remote troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration capabilities for a distributed team environment.
