About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the marine industry, is seeking a skilled Marine Mechanical Engineer to join their operations in Plymouth . Key Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and install mechanical systems for marine applications, including propulsion and auxiliary systems.
• Conduct performance analysis and ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of existing marine mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with naval architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports for marine projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues encountered during vessel operation or construction.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
• Proven experience in the marine or offshore industry, with a strong understanding of marine mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with marine propulsion, hydraulics, and piping systems.
• Knowledge of relevant maritime codes and classification society rules.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
