About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) according to industry standards.
• Conduct basic engineering calculations and analyses to validate design choices.
• Liaise with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production processes and cost efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to problem-solving.
• Support the testing and validation of prototypes and new product designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3 years of practical experience in mechanical design or a related engineering role.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
• A foundational understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and engineering principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, essential for working in a busy environment in the West Midlands .
