About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer with a focus on advanced manufacturing processes to join their innovative facility in Birmingham . This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing novel manufacturing techniques, optimizing production lines, and ensuring the highest standards of engineering quality. This position is critical for driving efficiency and technological advancement within our manufacturing operations, contributing to the creation of next-generation products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both theoretical mechanical principles and practical application in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced mechanical systems and equipment for manufacturing processes.
- Analyze and optimize existing production lines to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and R&D, to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Manage projects related to new equipment installation, process improvements, and technology adoption.
- Conduct feasibility studies and recommend appropriate technologies and methodologies for manufacturing challenges.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing processes and automation.
- Demonstrated ability to design, test, and implement mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools for mechanical design and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
