About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Milton Keynes . This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from the office, contributing to critical engineering projects. You will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, from initial concept through to final implementation and testing. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, project management acumen, and strong communication skills to ensure project success. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate with design teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required, balancing on-site and remote work effectively.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing any technical or logistical challenges.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Proven track record in project management within a mechanical engineering context.
- Experience with project management software and methodologies.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, managing time between remote and on-site duties.
