Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and scientifically driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their team covering the Reading region. In this field-based role, you will be the key scientific and medical contact for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within your territory. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging in scientific exchange, presenting complex clinical data, and gathering insights to support the company's therapeutic areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a science-oriented professional to build strong relationships and contribute to the understanding and appropriate use of innovative pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and HCPs through scientific and educational exchange.
• Present complex clinical trial data and scientific information accurately and effectively.
• Gather insights on treatment landscape, unmet medical needs, and competitor activities from KOLs and HCPs.
• Support clinical trial activities, including site identification and investigator engagement.
• Deliver scientific training and education to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry codes of conduct, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., or equivalent) in a life science or healthcare field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar MSL or related scientific role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of a specific therapeutic area and its relevant scientific literature.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance guidelines pertaining to pharmaceutical promotion and scientific exchange.
