About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and scientifically credible Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their innovative medical affairs team. This hybrid role requires significant travel within the Edinburgh and surrounding Scotland territory, balanced with remote work flexibility. You will serve as a key scientific expert, building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals, disseminating complex scientific and clinical information about their pharmaceutical products. This position is crucial for advancing the understanding and appropriate use of their therapies. The role demands strong scientific acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate autonomously within a defined geographic region, contributing to the company's commitment to scientific exchange and medical education.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to discuss scientific and clinical data related to company products.
- Present complex scientific information in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
- Identify and support Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) and collaborative research opportunities.
- Provide scientific and clinical education to internal teams, including sales and marketing.
- Attend medical conferences and scientific meetings to gather insights and represent the company.
- Gather competitive intelligence and insights from the field to inform medical strategy.
Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar medical affairs role.
- Deep understanding of the therapeutic area relevant to the company's products.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and HCPs.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and work remotely.
