Medical Science Liaison - Oncology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and scientifically adept Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Oncology to join their fully remote medical affairs team. This field-based role involves establishing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals within the oncology community across the North West England region. You will be the scientific and clinical voice for the company's innovative therapies, disseminating complex medical information and gathering valuable insights to support clinical development and strategy. This remote position empowers you to manage your territory effectively, balancing expert scientific engagement with personal autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory-specific engagement plan to build strong relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers in oncology.
• Deliver accurate, balanced, and comprehensive scientific and clinical information regarding the company's oncology portfolio and relevant disease states.
• Identify and support potential clinical trial investigators and research collaborations.
• Gather and report relevant scientific insights, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence from the field.
• Represent the company at relevant medical congresses, symposia, and advisory board meetings.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from healthcare professionals in a compliant manner.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or in a similar medical affairs role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep therapeutic knowledge and experience in Oncology , with a strong understanding of current treatment paradigms and research trends.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with KOLs and build scientific relationships.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of scientific acumen.
