Mine Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Mine Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance team in the Norwich area. This role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all mining equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or electrical background, experience in supervising technical teams, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency in the mining sector within Norfolk .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of maintenance technicians (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance schedules for all mining equipment.
• Oversee repair activities, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of necessary components.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Apprenticeship or formal training in Mechanical, Electrical, or Heavy Equipment Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience maintaining heavy mining or industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
