Mine Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Mine Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep of all equipment and facilities at their site near Norwich, Norfolk . This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and longevity of the mining machinery, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, manage preventive maintenance programs, and respond to equipment failures effectively. Your expertise will be key to maintaining a safe and productive mining environment in Norwich .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, including mechanics, electricians, and technicians.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all mining equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy machinery.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement of necessary maintenance supplies.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance performed, equipment status, and costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a mining or heavy industry setting.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance, including diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification in mechanical or electrical trades is preferred.
