About the Role
Our client requires a dedicated Mine Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of all heavy machinery and equipment at their mining site near Edinburgh . This hands-on role demands strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, coupled with excellent leadership abilities to manage a team of skilled technicians. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime and reliability, contributing directly to the smooth and efficient operation of the mine. This is a critical role for maintaining operational continuity and safety in a demanding industrial environment, ensuring all assets are in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling and task allocation.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all mining equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy machinery.
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory and assist in procurement of necessary components.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in a heavy industry environment.
- Strong technical background in heavy equipment maintenance (mining, construction, or industrial).
- Experience with preventative maintenance strategies and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
