About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Mine Surveyor to join their team near Bristol . In this role, you will be responsible for conducting precise surveys of underground and surface mine workings, ensuring accurate data for mine planning, operational control, and regulatory compliance. You will utilize advanced surveying equipment and techniques to map excavations, measure volumes, and monitor ground movement. Your work is fundamental to the safe and efficient operation of the mine, providing critical spatial information to geologists, engineers, and management, ensuring that all activities align with planned designs and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, underground, and boundary surveys using total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks within the mine.
• Prepare and update mine plans, cross-sections, and as-built drawings.
• Calculate volumes for ore, waste, and stockpiles.
• Monitor ground movement and subsidence using appropriate instrumentation and techniques.
• Ensure all survey data is accurate, properly documented, and complies with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with mine planning and engineering teams to provide essential spatial data.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying , Geomatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor .
• Proficiency with surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Surpac).
• Experience operating and maintaining surveying equipment (total stations, DGPS, scanners).
• Strong understanding of mining surveying principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
