About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and precise Mine Surveyor to join their team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK . This role is integral to mapping and measuring the earth's resources and underground structures, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of mining operations. You will utilize advanced surveying equipment and techniques to provide critical data for mine planning, development, and production. This hybrid position requires a blend of on-site fieldwork and office-based data processing, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to significant mining projects while maintaining a flexible work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct precise topographical surveys and underground surveys using total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks for mining operations.
• Process and interpret survey data, creating accurate 2D and 3D mine models and plans.
• Calculate volumes of ore, waste, and overburden for production and planning purposes.
• Monitor and report on ground movement and structural stability within the mine.
• Ensure compliance with all surveying regulations and company standards for data integrity.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
• Certified Surveyor status or eligibility for professional accreditation.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mine surveying or engineering surveying.
• Proficiency with industry-standard surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Deswik).
• Experience with Total Station , GPS, and 3D laser scanning technologies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
