About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Mining Operations Analyst to join their team in Bristol . This role focuses on analyzing operational data to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety across various mining sites. You will interpret complex datasets related to extraction, processing, and logistics, identifying trends, predicting potential issues, and providing actionable insights to management. This is an on-site role requiring close collaboration with site-based operational teams to ensure seamless integration of data-driven improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from mining sites using various software tools.
• Develop reports and presentations on key performance indicators (KPIs) for mining operations .
• Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in production and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with site managers and engineers to implement data-driven operational changes.
• Monitor and forecast production volumes and resource consumption.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of operational databases and reporting systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and potentially BI software like Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with site teams.
