National Account Manager - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is looking for a results-oriented National Account Manager to manage and grow key accounts within the dynamic FMCG sector . This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in building strong client relationships and driving sales performance. You will be the primary point of contact for major retailers, developing tailored strategies to meet their needs and exceed sales targets. This hybrid role offers a blend of office-based collaboration in Coventry and remote flexibility, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for designated national accounts.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers within retail partners.
• Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure seamless account management.
• Negotiate pricing, promotions, and terms of business to optimize profitability and market share.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to provide insights and recommendations to both clients and the internal team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in account management within the FMCG industry .
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and close complex deals.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in sales forecasting and data analysis using CRM software.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
