About the Role
Our client is recruiting a skilled and safety-conscious Offshore Wind Farm Technician to join their vital operations team in Belfast . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and associated equipment, ensuring the reliable generation of clean electricity. This hands-on role requires a commitment to working in challenging marine environments and adhering to the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on offshore wind turbines and related mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Safely operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment, including those used at height and over water.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures and site-specific regulations, including working at height and in marine environments.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new wind turbine components and equipment.
- Document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs accurately in the company's asset management system.
Requirements
- Recognized apprenticeship or vocational qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a technician, preferably within the renewable energy or heavy industrial sector.
- Experience working with high-voltage systems, mechanical drives, and control systems.
- Ability to work effectively at height and in challenging offshore conditions .
- Valid GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certifications (Basic Safety Training, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival) are essential.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
