About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and highly organized Farm Operations Coordinator to manage and streamline administrative and logistical aspects of their agricultural business operations, based remotely but supporting farms across Northern Ireland. This role is vital for ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, coordinating between different departments, and managing essential resources. You will be responsible for overseeing supply chain logistics, managing farm records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong administrative and planning skills to contribute to the efficiency and success of a modern agricultural enterprise from a remote work environment, ensuring seamless operations across various farm locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of agricultural supplies, including feed, fertilizers, and equipment.
- Manage and maintain accurate farm records, including inventory, production data, and financial information.
- Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
- Schedule and coordinate farm activities, maintenance, and repairs to minimize disruption.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the farm management team, including report generation and communication.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations coordination, logistics management, or a similar administrative role, preferably within the agriculture sector.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with farm management software or ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively remotely.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- A proactive attitude and a demonstrated ability to solve problems independently.
