Online Course Developer - History

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Online Course Developer with expertise in History to produce engaging and academically rigorous digital learning materials. Working entirely remotely, you will be responsible for designing, structuring, and writing content for online history courses, ensuring they meet high educational standards and appeal to a diverse online student body. This role requires a blend of historical scholarship and instructional design expertise to create compelling learning experiences that are accessible and effective, contributing to the expansion of our client's online education offerings. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive curricula and learning modules for online History courses, covering various historical periods and themes.
• Write clear, engaging, and accurate course content, including lectures, readings, and interactive activities.
• Incorporate multimedia resources, such as videos, images, and interactive timelines, to enhance learning.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure pedagogical soundness and technical quality.
• Develop assessments, quizzes, and assignments that effectively measure student comprehension of historical material.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in History or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and instructional design, preferably for online learning environments.
• Excellent writing, research, and communication skills, with a talent for making complex historical topics accessible.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
