Operations Administrator Location: Thame Salary: Circa £26,500 - £27,500 DOE Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, between 8:30am–5:30pm Benefits: 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, Employee Assistance Programme We are recruiting for an organised and confident Operations Administrator to join a busy team based in Thame. This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of the transport operation, dealing with drivers, customers and colleagues and helping ensure queries are handled quickly and efficiently. The role offers plenty of opportunity to learn the wider operation and develop into a key member of the team. Key Responsibilities of the Operations Administrator:
- Handling incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Managing busy shared email inboxes and responding to queries promptly
- Providing telephone and email support to drivers, customers and other locations
- Building strong working relationships with drivers, customers and internal teams
- Supporting Transport Managers with day-to-day administration
- Maintaining accurate information and records
- Assisting with operational queries and resolving issues where possible
- Providing cover for colleagues across different areas of the department
- Supporting additional projects and general administrative duties
- Managing changing priorities and moving quickly between different tasks Key Requirements of the Operations Administrator:
- Previous administration, operations, transport or logistics experience
- Transport or vehicle-related experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Confident telephone and email communication skills
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Comfortable dealing with customers, drivers and colleagues at all levels
- Flexible approach with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Enthusiastic, positive and keen to learn and develop
