About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee their state-of-the-art FMCG manufacturing facility in Liverpool . This critical role involves managing all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. You will lead a dedicated team of production staff, engineers, and supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is a vital position for driving manufacturing performance within a leading FMCG organization, contributing directly to the successful delivery of high-quality products to consumers across the UK and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Implement and maintain high standards of quality control and assurance throughout the production process.
- Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and inventory to optimize output and minimize waste.
- Lead, train, and develop the production team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Operations Management within the FMCG manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems.
- Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a production setting.
