About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead their FMCG manufacturing facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met or exceeded. You will be responsible for managing production teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support the company's growth objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets for FMCG products are met efficiently and on schedule.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Oversee the management of production staff, including recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a positive work culture in Stoke-on-Trent .
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the manufacturing plant.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for operational savings.
- Collaborate with supply chain, quality assurance, and engineering teams to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Operations Management , preferably within the FMCG manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams, optimizing production processes, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, quality control, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
