Operations Manager - Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to oversee their manufacturing facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality FMCG products, driving operational excellence, and managing a dedicated production team. You will be responsible for implementing lean manufacturing principles, optimizing production processes, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met consistently.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet demand efficiently.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and line operators, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the FMCG sector .
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control systems, and health & safety regulations.
• Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
